About
Hey, I'm Joel.
This is an Onboarding website to me. I build software, read a lot, write when something refuses to leave my head, and keep collecting product ideas that may or may not be sensible.
I like being a generalist on purpose: engineering, startups, markets, books, internet culture, and the small tools that make everyday life less annoying. Most of this site is just a public shelf for those obsessions.
The work I care about sits somewhere between useful and strange. I want to build products that people actually use and keep getting pulled toward harder technical problems without becoming boring in the process.
Fear: Become famous enough that Sony's legal team notices my surname. Until then, I move quietly.
What I am aiming at
To become a builder and tinkerer with enough engineering depth to work on hard technology, enough product taste to ship useful things, and enough curiosity to keep writing about software, startups, markets, and human behavior.
