On Building in Public

I used to wait until something was ready before telling anyone about it. Ready meant polished, documented, bug-free. Ready meant never.

The projects I'm most proud of are the ones I pushed out the door embarrassingly early. Not because shipping fast is some virtue, but because putting something real in front of real people forces you to understand what actually matters about it.

The mental shift

The change isn't about lowering your standards. It's about being honest that you don't actually know what "good" looks like until you see it used.

Every product decision made in a vacuum is a bet. The earlier you get signal, the better your bets become.

What I'm building now

InnerScript is a local-first journaling app with AI chat over your notes. It's not ready. I'm writing about it anyway.
